On the last day of my mission to Kosovo in -99, I joined a colleague on a site survey, checking out possibilities for satellite communication at UNHCR offices. We are brought to a stop due to a bomb crater in the road, caused be the NATO air campaign. While my colleague checks our maps to find another road, I take a few pictures. My colleague joins me and offers to take my picture, and I willingly position myself beside the vehicle.

Notice the flag at the rear of the car. Most possible the biggest flag in Kosovo at the time!!

The keen radio amateur will notice how we tried to improve short distance HF-communication with the somewhat odd antenna arrangement, trying to achieve NVIS (Near Vertical Incident Sky Wave).
